Sitting just to the east and casting a shadow on the Stockyards sat a group of buildings in extreme decay, the heart of what was once Niles City. Comprised of a little over one half square mile in size, it once had 508 inhabitants and was labelled the "richest little city in Texas" due to the Fort Worth Stockyards Company, The Swift & Armour Packing Company, and the Stockyard Exchange. 1911 it was valued at $12 million. When the Swift & Armour Packing Company was operating at it's peak, 4,000 men and women were reporting for work. In 1923 Niles City was annexed and became a part of Fort Worth.

While being the complete opposite of a high class fashion shoot, there really is nothing better then letting loose and having fun on a shoot where you can be as wild as you want to be. So our 12 hour day of fun and laughter came to a close with RaChelle. I had drawn up a makeup idea a few weeks earlier after I had purchased a few sets of crazy costume eyelashes, and I wasn't sure who to use it on. I knew Christina could easily pull the idea off, but it wasn't until RaChelle said that she was 'in' that I knew who to use it for. Her blonde hair and bright eyes helped the turquoise blue of the makeup almost leap off of her skin. The final outcome was electric!
